After picking up my first guitar at 15, I’ve been working on producing and writing my own music. I got into design through making album covers and posters for shows.
The Prids are a Portland band that have been around since the mid-1990s and have a loyal fanbase. This album was their first recording since 2010, and I was honored to design the cover and layout. They wanted to focus on dying flowers, so I took a rose from our yard and let it age, then photographed it at various stages of decay. The result is something quietly haunting that matches the band’s sound perfectly.
